Being welcomed back into this beautiful family’s home was such a gift. I first photographed their son’s newborn session in this very space, and now I had the joy of capturing him with his baby sister. The day was perfectly sunny, and their immaculate home was full of warmth, art, and character. Every corner reflected their style, creating such a cool and inspiring backdrop for photos. The children laughed and played with a gorgeous wooden horse, and the natural light streaming through the windows made the moments feel even more heartfelt and timeless. I never remember the neighborhood my memory is truly not the best but this one is one of those special ones in Chicago for families. I would move here so fast.

What I loved most about this session was the effortless energy. These siblings were absolutely adorable, big brother showing his playful side and baby sister lighting up the room with her presence. After capturing some candid moments indoors, we headed out to a nearby garden and then wandered over to a local park. The children ran, giggled, and soaked in the sunshine, giving me endless opportunities to capture their joy. They truly made my job so easily, when clients lean into imperfect moments of joy. It creates the perfect conditions to capture them authentically.
