One of the biggest compliments is when a beautiful family returns to work with you. I was so incredibly honored when I knew that even though their travel time would be long, they were willing to make the trip to have our shoot together. As an Elk Grove family photographer, I love when clients value my unposed, documentary approach enough to make that journey. It allowed us to capture the Radford family in a setting that felt both adventurous and intimate.

They are raising some incredible fearless girls with so much love and conviction. We spent our morning near the incredible Elks in Busse Woods. In fact, this location in Elk Grove IL provided the perfect backdrop for exploring and jumping off old tree logs. Specifically, the golden fall light filtered through the trees created a cinematic and soulful atmosphere.

As a Chicago Family Photographer I believe Instead of forced poses, we focused on the girls’ natural energy. Because I prioritize honesty over poses, we were able to document their raw connection. Additionally, the natural landscape of the Cook County forest preserves adds a sense of adventure to any session. Whether we are deep in the woods or near the water, these locations help tell a deeper story about your family.
