As an Oak Park family photographer, I love finding urban backdrops that feel funky and full of character. This beautiful blended family was absolutely effortless to work with. Because I have a sibling with a large age gap myself, it was special to visualize what that dynamic was like for my own parents.
First, we started our session near the historic downtown area. Fortunately, the sun was shining perfectly, creating a warm glow against the brick architecture. The wardrobe my client picked was perfect for the entire group. In fact, it complemented the downtown vibe beautifully. One of my favorite parts about this session was the way light really was a paid actor. It was such a beautiful sunny day that shadows and light really played such a lovely role.
