It’s a home birth party for August, Riverside IL family and birth photographer

Eeek I’ve been wanting to share the home birth of August for a while now, I’ve just been insanely busy enjoying life and capturing so many beautiful families. But at last !

I photographed mr. August’s entrance into the world earlier this month. It was such an honor to have been there for this incredible family. They recently moved back into the area to be surrounded and supported by family, and it was fitting that so many lovely people were there to welcome baby! When I say it was a party I mean it all in the best way! It also worked out that my client’s sister happened to be in town just when she went into labor as well. That house was full of love, coffee, cute kiddos and that energizing vibe that keeps a birth centered in positivity. From the images you can see my client and her husband’s love and devotion to one another. Having been around them during their maternity session I got a sense that they are truly very much connected so deeply and lovingly. He was always present and there every step of the way. I also love when older siblings are able to see the way humans come into the world. It’s such a beautiful reminder of what’s possible and Im sure something that sticks with you forever. Women and birthing humans are hella strong. No “and” or “if ” buts about it .

In the calmest most peaceful way Mr. A came to be on his mothers chest. Minutes later her oldest son learned that he was indeed correct and he once again had a brother. There were tears and joy everywhere in the room. Maneuevering through slippery tub and water dad met his new son. He exclaimed how AMAZING his wife was. What else can be said other than Sarah is a true goddess, she was ever so strong. Her whole birth journey was processed by her so beautifully. Her positivity was infectious. She fully trusted her body and just let go of control. What an honor it was to witness and capture these for all of them.
