I’m always amazed at how much a baby changes in just a few weeks. Little G was one of my dear birth photography babies. He had some complications that kept him in the hospital longer than expected. Specifically, I am so happy he is healthy and thriving now. As a Chicago baby photographer at home, I loved finally seeing him in his own nursery.
His nursery was Toy Story themed. Furthermore, the clouds on the walls reminded me of Andy’s room! It brought so much nostalgia to the day. It was a beautiful session with such an easy-going sweet little boy. Consequently, you can see the family’s joy in every photograph.
Additionally, an in-home session allows for a relaxed pace. Because babies can be unpredictable, being in a familiar environment helps everyone. In fact, we took breaks whenever he needed a cuddle. Overall, being a Chicago baby photographer at home allows me to document authentic moments. Instead of a studio, the nursery provided a perfect, meaningful backdrop for this story.

Moreover, I love returning to families I have worked with before. Since I photographed his birth, seeing him at one month old was very special. Therefore, the connection was already there. As a result, the parents felt comfortable and relaxed. Whether it was a close-up of his tiny feet or a shot of the whole family, the magic was everywhere.
