No bean bag, no wraps, no studio lighting setups. Just your baby, your family, and the natural light pouring through your windows. I come to you because your home is already the most beautiful backdrop there is. The nursery you spent months putting together. The bed where you have been doing every 2am feed. The couch where your whole family has been piling on together. That is where your newborn story belongs.
What I Document
A newborn session with me is not a photo shoot — it is a quiet hour or two of just living while I follow along. Some of my favorite things to capture:
- Tiny details — hands, feet, lips, that perfect newborn smell you wish you could bottle
- First feeds and skin to skin moments
- Siblings meeting and loving on the baby
- Partners — because this is their story too
- The everyday chaos of those first days — the swaddles, the pacifiers, the burp cloths everywhere

Your Chicago Newborn Photographer — Documentary Style
Most newborn photography asks your baby to perform. Tucked into baskets, posed on fur rugs, wrapped like a burrito under hot lights. That is not what I do. I believe your baby is already perfect exactly as they are squirmy, unpredictable, and completely real. My approach is documentary and lifestyle, which means I follow your baby’s lead and capture what actually happens. The yawns, the stretches, the milk drunk faces. The moments that are so fleeting you will blink and wonder if they were real.
Chicago Newborn Photography — Common Questions
How long is a newborn session?
Typically 1.5–2 hours. Newborns set the pace — we work around feeds, diaper changes, and fussy moments. There is no rushing.
Do I need to clean my house?
Absolutely not. A lived-in home tells a real story. I am not there to photograph your house — I am there to photograph your family in it.
What should we wear?
Simple, comfortable, and whatever feels like you. Neutral tones photograph beautifully but there are no rules. I will send a style guide when you book.
Can siblings and pets be included?
Please yes — siblings and pets are some of my favorite parts of a newborn session. The more the merrier.
What if my baby is fussy the whole time?
That is just newborn life and I am completely prepared for it. Fussy babies make for real, honest images — and some of my favorite galleries have come from the most unpredictable sessions.
Do you speak Spanish?
Yes — fully bilingual, happy to work entirely in Spanish from inquiry to gallery delivery.
