Your Chicagoland Photographer, Areas Served
Forest Park based, city inspired. Proudly capturing stories across the map. View the full list of Chicagoland photographer areas served below. We came from Mexico to the west suburbs, so technically I’ll never have the Chicagoan title (boo, I know) but this corner of the city is where I planted myself. Where my kids and I walk. Where I know which coffee shop has the best light at 8am and which park goes golden at 5pm in October. That rootedness matters, because when I show up to photograph your family, I’m not a vendor passing through. I’m a neighbor who happens to carry a camera.
I’m also an obsessive city explorer. I’ve wandered through more Chicago neighborhoods than most people who were born here, not because I was scouting for work but because I genuinely can’t help it. Every block has its own light, its own texture, its own version of ordinary life that’s worth documenting. That’s how I approach photography and it’s how I approach the city.
The Adri Photo Co. serves families, couples, and new parents throughout the greater Chicago area. I can also hop over to your hospital as well for a Fresh 48. Whether you’re in a bungalow in Oak Park, a high-rise in the Gold Coast, or a backyard in Elmhurst. I travel to you. My job isn’t to plop your family in front of a landmark and tell you to smile. It’s to find the light, the texture, and the rhythm of wherever you actually live and let your story unfold there. Your most honest moments deserve to be captured. I know it feels like waiting until you’re in the perfect home, the perfect size is the best idea. However I invite you to see the beauty in the now.
Here’s where I work.
Chicagoland Photographer Areas Served : Western Suburbs
This is my territory. The western suburbs are where I know the side streets, the forest preserve pockets, and the exact spots where afternoon light hits brick in a way that makes everything look like a painting. Oak Park’s architecture is genuinely world-class. Those Prairie Style homes and the tree canopy on the residential streets give sessions a depth that’s hard to replicate anywhere else. River Forest has a quiet that I love. La Grange mornings feel unhurried in the best way. I’ve photographed in all of it and I’m always finding something new.

Chicagoland Photographer Areas Served : North Shore
The North Shore has a particular kind of light. Lakeshore mornings, tree-lined streets that go amber in fall. The kind of neighborhoods that feel like they were designed for long Sunday walks. I love photographing families here because the locations do half the work. Evanston especially has this mix of urban energy and green space that gives sessions a lot of range. We can be in a park one minute and on a commercial block the next and both feel completely intentional. Wilmette and Glencoe have a quieter, more residential quality that works beautifully for documentary-style family work. If you’re on the North Shore and looking for a Chicagoland photographer who will actually come to you, that’s exactly what I do.
Chicagoland Photographer Areas Served: Chicago Neighborhoods
Chicago neighborhoods each have their own character — and I mean that literally, not as a tagline. Lincoln Park feels different from Hyde Park. Wicker Park feels different from the Gold Coast. Humboldt Park feels different from all of them. When you book a session in the city I come prepared: I’ve researched your neighborhood specifically, I know where the light lands at what time of day, I know the foot traffic patterns, I know whether we need a permit. You just show up.
The city sessions I love most are the ones where we stay on your block. Your stoop. The corner you walk past every morning. The Cook County Forest Preserves stretch into dozens of Chicago neighborhoods too — some of the best light I’ve ever found has been in a forest preserve most people drive past without stopping.

How I Choose Locations
The right spot isn’t always the most photogenic one on Google. It’s the one that means something to your family. The park where your kid learned to ride a bike. The street you’ve walked every Sunday for three years. The backyard where everything actually happens. I’ve built my practice as a Chicagoland photographer on one idea: ordinary places photographed honestly are more powerful than beautiful places photographed generically.
Tell me what matters to your family and we’ll go from there. I handle all the scouting, timing, and permit research. You just focus on being present.
Travel + A Little About Me
I don’t charge travel fees anywhere in the greater Chicagoland area. For weddings and birth work I’m available throughout Illinois and nationally, just ask. I’m fully bilingual in English and Spanish, and I photograph all families warmly: LGBTQ+ families, multigenerational, blended, solo parents, all of it.
Don’t see your neighborhood listed? Reach out anyway. If you’re in the Chicagoland area the answer is almost certainly yes.
