Lincoln Park Newborn Photographer | Baby Colette Session

A Beautiful Lincoln Park Newborn Session with Baby Colette

Choosing a Lincoln Park newborn photographer for an indoor session can feel daunting when the Chicago weather is gloomy. For this reason, my time with Baby Colette was a perfect example of how we can work around difficult light. Specifically, we achieved a beautiful, authentic result by focusing on the connection within the family rather than the gray skies outside.

Finding Light in a Chicago Winter

Gloomy days and difficult light will always exist, especially when you shoot indoors with natural light. However, sometimes all you need is a little window and a ton of love. In fact, this family certainly had that covered. Although little Colette did not want to get some ZZZ’s for us, we still captured a ton of beautiful images of her being bright-faced and aware of the world.

Furthermore, as a Lincoln Park newborn photographer, I have learned that “perfect” light is less important than “perfect” moments. It is in these tiny, quiet interactions that a group of people truly becomes a family. Therefore, if I can offer some advice to new parents, it is to try and see the stillness. Even though parenting days are exhausting, try to take in the beauty of the chaos..

    Documenting Your Lincoln Park History

I hope that this family looks back at these images for many years to come. Moreover, as a Chicago Newborn photographer I want these photos to serve as a reminder of the peace found in those first few weeks. Clearly, her parents and her big pup brother, Plato, are watching this sweet little baby grow up in awe.

Ultimately, being a Lincoln Park newborn photographer allows me to tell these unique stories. If you are looking for an at-home documentary session that feels real and relaxed, I would love to connect. In conclusion, thank you to the Sarosy family for letting me into your beautiful home to document Colette’s arrival.

The Beauty of Family Photography in Lincoln Park

Choosing family photography in Lincoln Park is a special way to document growth. Specifically, I loved seeing the Sarosy family again for this Chicago session. It is a joy to watch my newborn clients return. So much changes in just one year.

In fact, we were very lucky with the weather. We were blessed with a warm, sunny morning. This provided the perfect backdrop for their portraits. For this reason, I love early morning light. It is soft and flattering for both parents and babies.

    The Benefit of Morning Light

Many families worry about timing outdoor shoots with little ones. However, soft morning light is beautiful and fits a baby’s happy window. As a specialist in family photography in Lincoln Park, I suggest these early slots. They help capture genuine smiles and bright-eyed expressions.

Moreover, seeing my ‘little clients’ grow up is the best perk of my job. Consequently, annual sessions become a priceless timeline of your history. These images serve as a beautiful reminder of this season

If you are preparing for family photography in Lincoln Park, I always recommend arriving a few minutes early to let your little ones get used to the surroundings. Specifically, the area near the North Pond offers a variety of textures—from the skyline views to the lush greenery—that make every gallery unique.

In fact, one of the reasons I love morning sessions as a chicago family photographer is because the park is much quieter, allowing us to capture those intimate, quiet moments without the city crowds. Ultimately, my goal as a photographer is to create a space where you can simply exist as a family. In conclusion, these sessions are the perfect way to freeze time and celebrate the beautiful growth of your children in the heart of Chicago.
