Playing in the Tall Summer Fields In Hanover Park

We had a blast playing and shooting in the tall summer fields of the West Suburbs. Specifically, the children were so sweet and acted like little “bug encyclopedias” as they explored the grass. Because I prioritize “honesty over poses,” I let them lead the way through the field. We didn’t focus on looking at the camera or staying still. Instead, we captured their natural curiosity and the magic of a summer afternoon. Consequently, the session felt like a true playdate rather than a formal shoot.

Honoring the Bond of Sisterhood

I most of all fell in love with the bond of sisterhood that is already so strong between these two. Furthermore, this whole family is just so effortlessly beautiful. What an absolute joy was this family. The Becks have the sweetest backstory. Actually, one of the funniest things about them is that both parents share the exact same name! It made for such a lighthearted and memorable atmosphere during our session. We met to capture images as part of a Dockatot campaign. Baby O was so calm and beautiful throughout the entire shoot. Specifically, you could see that she knew just how loved she was by her parents. Hyde Park Family Photography: Finding Home with the Mayorcas

Throughout our whole session, I felt a deep connection to this family’s story. We met for Hyde Park family photography on a beautiful day, but our conversation went far beyond the scenery. Actually, it was heartbreaking to hear their longing for their original home in Venezuela. Yet, the way I saw them, it was clear that despite being forced to migrate, they have found home within each other. They truly radiated belonging.

A Story of Connection and Belonging

Their children were so connected and beautiful during the shoot at the South Shore Cultural Center. Specifically, we chatted about the struggle to hold onto native tongues for our kids and the way words online can hurt. Because I prioritize “honesty over poses,” I focused on capturing the raw love that defines my approach to Hyde Park family photography. Consequently, these images serve as a testament to their resilience and their unbreakable family bond.

The Timeless Beauty of the South Shore

The backdrop of the beach and the historic architecture provided the perfect setting for this session. Creating Art in Small Spaces

The family was in the midst of a move during our shoot. This meant we had to be creative with our surroundings. Specifically, we chose a sweet spot with just two walls and a window.
