Earlier this year I photographed this couple in a natural light studio in Bridgeport. We had an incredible Maternity Session together. The waiting for their little one to arrive was a little longer than I thought. Now, as their Noble Square newborn photographer, I got to meet the baby they were so excited about. I still can’t believe how fast it happened.
If you missed the first chapter, you can see their natural light studio maternity session here. Those quiet, in-love moments are the reason I was so happy to be invited back. But also how photogenic is this whole family.

Noble Square Newborn Session That Felt Like Coming Full Circle
As a Noble Square newborn photographer, one of my favorite things is the drive into the city, and even thought the day was a little overcast we got some amazing images. Seeing this family again felt familiar. They greeted me the same way they did at the studio, warm and relaxed, except now there was a tiny person in the middle of everything. I always love photographing a family I’ve already met. There’s no warming up period. We just picked up where we left off.
I don’t ask for perfect poses with newborns. I follow the rhythm of the day in their Noble Square neighborhood: feeding, changing, napping, passing baby from one set of arms to another.

Why Documentary Newborn Photos Tell the Real Story
The first weeks are tender and a little messy, and I think that’s what’s worth remembering. A hand wrapped around a finger. A sleepy forehead kiss. The soft chaos of two people learning who they are as parents. Those details say more than any staged setup could, which is why I focus on documentary newborn sessions that feel like your actual life.
Looking at these next to their maternity photos, I love seeing the story continue. Same love, same quiet laughter, now with another pair of cute little cheeks.
