My Vision as a Chicago Photographer
As a Chicago photographer, my personal projects help me rediscover the magic of the lens. These galleries showcase my documentary work throughout Chicago and the West Suburbs. I focus on raw light, urban grit, and quiet stories. These projects fuel my professional work with families and couples.

Why Personal Projects Matter to My Work
I believe personal projects are vital. Being a Chicago Photographer Personal Projects is such an honor. While I spend time as a Chicago wedding photographer, these galleries offer space for play. I experiment with light and raw emotion here. Specifically, I find inspiration in the West Loop’s urban textures. I also love the nostalgic corners of the Chicago suburbs. These projects let me test new documentary techniques. Later, I bring these skills to my client sessions.
The Documentary Approach
Shooting for myself reminds me that found moments are the best moments. I don’t stage these photos. I find them. Whether I document a local protest or a quiet street corner, I practice the “decisive moment.” Consequently, this makes me more observant at weddings. I see the small details others might miss.
Inspiration and Resources
The history of art inspires my vision. Raw, 20th-century film photographers heavily influence my style. If you want to see how this translates to my professional work, please reach out. I would love to share more of my process with you.
