    This La Grange newborn photography session was a truly dreamy morning. We originally rescheduled our date due to a dreary day, and we were rewarded with the kind of sunshiny, beautiful light that proves light really is everything. It transformed their home into the perfect canvas for the session.

    One of my favorite things as a Newborn Photographer is to capture is the way a new baby brings a home to life, and for this session, that included their beloved dogs! We intentionally used different locations throughout their home to bring some of their favorite Pinterest inspirations to life. It is so important to me that my clients walk away with those sought-after, honest images they adore—the ones that feel like a perfect blend of their real life and a bit of magic.

    Beyond the glow, what struck me most was the quiet energy of their home. One of my favorite things to capture is the way a new baby recalibrates the atmosphere of a room. In the nursery, surrounded by soft textures and that olive-green warmth, this little subject was absolutely delightful.

    We didn’t focus on perfect poses. Instead, we followed the light from the crib to the mirror, documenting the slow, honey-soaked moments of their first days together. This session is proof that when you pair a beautiful home vibe with the right timing, the honesty of the moment shines through.

    Let me be frank: I completely fall in love with the families I work with, even if we only work together once. I always go back to so many of the galleries on my page because I’ve been so fortunate to work with incredible humans.     Seeing my clients in that post-birth newborn baby bliss is always full of questions for me! I want to know everything. “How is baby, how is mom, what did you think about the birth, how do you feel?” I try not to be too overwhelming, but the transformation is just so incredible to witness. The cute little babies have changed in every possible way, but the woman who gave birth is someone else entirely. The couple is changed as well; dad is more protective, and something beautiful activates in both of them.

    Working with repeat customers as an Lakeview Chicago newborn photography is incredibly special. I love seeing little siblings join these beautiful families. Specifically, I get to see how older siblings are changing while celebrating parents’ new milestones.     We structured this session around giving big sister a break. She joined the session late after I got all of the newborn images I love to achieve. Furthermore, Little Miss Reese had grown so much since I last saw her. Doing this Lakeview Chicago newborn photography session near the Diversey Natural area was so easy to reach and perfect for working with families. Because we were in a forest setting, the light was very soft and natural. Instead of a studio, the family chose the beauty of nature. Overall, the session was a big success. If you are looking for something different, an outdoor shoot is a wonderful option. Therefore, I always encourage families to consider the local parks.

    Moreover, I find that the natural environment helps older children relax. Since they have room to run, they don’t feel pressured. As a result, we get more candid and joyful images. Whether it is a summer morning or a golden hour evening, the results are stunning. Meanwhile, we made sure to keep the baby comfortable and safe.
