Capturing a Special Milestone in Hanover Park

This was my third time working with this incredible family, and it was such an honor to document this new chapter. Their son, Luca, is so dang sweet and was a complete joy to work with. He was super excited about becoming a big brother! Even though late fall sessions can be a bit more challenging due to the drop in temperature, this family’s love and energy made the cold air completely unnoticeable.

We took a quick trip in the heat to a favorite local spot. Specifically, I want to highlight Sarah’s perfect styling for this session. Although summer heat is tough, she made it look effortless. She looked beautiful in her gown. Consequently, the neutral tones kept the focus on the family connection.

The big brothers were such good sports. They walked through the tall grass and greenery. Because this location is diverse, we got many different looks. In addition, the boys are very excited to meet their new sibling. The gender reveal at birth will be worth the wait.

As a Chicago maternity photographer, the drive to the west suburbs is worth its 10000%. The big brothers were such good sports as we walked through the tall grass and greenery. Because this location offers such a diverse landscape, we were able to get a variety of looks in a short amount of time. In addition, the boys are very excited to meet their new sibling! I am personally so excited to see the surprise of the gender reveal at birth—it will be well worth the wait.

We had a blast playing and shooting in the tall summer fields of the West Suburbs. Specifically, the children were so sweet and acted like little “bug encyclopedias” as they explored the grass. Because I prioritize “honesty over poses,” I let them lead the way through the field. We didn’t focus on looking at the camera or staying still. Hanover Park Family Photographer | The Lunde Family Session

Oh, the heart of this family. Looking back at these images, I am struck by the pure joy. As a Hanover Park family photographer, it is incredible to see these sweet boys grow. I have been behind the camera for so many of their milestones. The love and connection they share is truly beautiful to witness. I was lucky enough to witness Mr. G’s entrance into this world. Now, we celebrated his first birthday with a full family session.

One of my favorite things about the Lundes is their attitude. They have an incredible spirit for adventuring. I love capturing the beauty of childhood in this way. It feels honest and wild. I hope Kayla has ten more babies! I would love to hang out with them every single year. Documenting their growth in complete amazement is such a gift.

Hanover Park Maternity Photos | Sarah’s Home Birth Journey

Creating these Hanover Park maternity photos for Sarah was such a heartfelt experience. There are truly no words for the beauty and connection of this family. I loved being the Chicago Maternity photographer who captured these beautiful images.

Sarah is expecting her second child, and they are planning a home birth—I am so incredibly honored to say that I’ll be there to capture that entire journey for them. How cool is that?

I first met this family during a nursing session I hosted for local moms. Breastfeeding is so near and dear to my heart, and it felt like the perfect way to connect with women in my community. Sarah brought along her sweet baby boy then, and seeing him again, I can tell he is just as sweet as ever. He is clearly so ready to be a big brother.
