Although the morning was brisk, the golden light was truly perfect. As a Chicago family photographer, I love this location.     First, I have lived in this area for a very long time. I actually graduated from the local high school! Consequently, Bensenville holds a very special place in my heart. My own kids grew up coming to this farm. We spent many afternoons exploring the grounds when they were little. Furthermore, my professional journey started right here. Believe it or not, I had my very first paid photography job at Fischer Farm. Therefore, returning here to photograph new families feels like coming home every single time.

    Navigating Logistics at Fischer Farm

    Fischer Farm is a local gem for portraits. However, you should know that dogs are not allowed on the actual farm grounds. Because this sweet family wanted to include their new puppy, we had to get creative. Consequently, we started our session and just outside the farm perimeter. I found a lovely nearby spot for puppy snuggles before we moved to the historic barns. In the end, we captured the best of both worlds!

    A Rustic Christmas for Every Bensenville Family

    The 19th-century barns provided a gorgeous backdrop for these Christmas photos. The sun was bright, but the temperature remained quite low. As an experienced Chicago baby photographer, I know that little ones have a short time limit in the cold. Because the baby got a bit chilly toward the end, we moved very quickly. I worked fast to capture her sweet personality before she reached her limit.

    We took a quick trip in the heat to a favorite local spot. Specifically, I want to highlight Sarah’s perfect styling for this session. Although summer heat is tough, she made it look effortless. She looked beautiful in her gown. Consequently, the neutral tones kept the focus on the family connection.

    When choosing outfits for Hanover Park maternity photography, remember that comfort is important. Sarah chose a style that allowed her to move freely. This is very helpful when you have young children in the frame. Additionally, the fabric caught the light beautifully. This added a soft, golden glow to the entire gallery.

    The big brothers were such good sports. They walked through the tall grass and greenery. Because this location is diverse, we got many different looks. In addition, the boys are very excited to meet their new sibling. The gender reveal at birth will be worth the wait.

    I recently had the pleasure of documenting Hannah and Eric’s Lincoln Park maternity photos in the heart of Chicago. Sweet December is here, and the time to meet this sweet little baby is nearing. Time has absolutely flown by.

    I’ve been pregnant a number of times and have given birth just twice. However, both times were very different experiences. I brought those babies home and I was a different person. After my son, I was a mother for the first time. He was big, beautiful, and full of wonder.

    In contrast, my daughter surprised me with difficultness. I thought I was a pro by then. However, she swiftly humbled me with her big, big cries. I’ve said it before that being a photographer means you’re often meeting people at the highlights in their life.

    The Best Backdrop for Lincoln Park Maternity Photos

    Hannah and Eric are about to be first-time parents. Therefore, it is my honor to capture and witness this milestone. Being a part of someone’s birth team is the biggest deal of my life and I cherish it so.

    Specifically, I’m so happy we were able to find a moment in the current world chaos to capture their happiness emerging. You can feel the love, and you can see the devotion. Little do they know that the way they will parent is already apparent. You can see it in the way they see each other and in the way they hold each other.

    As a Chicago Maternity Photographer I fully believe that the location is secondary to your clients. maybe even 3rd in importance. My clients are first and their emotions second.. location is the last thing that matters to me. In this session we used locations I feel often feel overlooked, in the winter especially. I love to cling to ever greens, and the outside of the Lincoln Park greenhouse has beautiful evergreens. We also walked over to the Peggy Notebaert museum to use the outside. The dried up tall winter grass gave us some texture. Furthermore, I recommend checking the Lincoln Park Conservatory
     website for seasonal bloom schedules. This ensures we have the most colorful environment for your session. Whether we are capturing the architecture or the quiet garden paths, the goal is to document this fleeting season of life in an authentic way.
