I cannot belive this little beauty is four already. We were there to welcome her, the weekend after her birth. She was so insanely beautiful and tiny with the darkestlittle curls all around her head. I have a photograph of my baby zo holding her and its one of my favorite photos of the two. They’re so close and inseparable. I love that they have each other and I bet that they become the best of friends. I got to photograph Charlie with her beautiful mama by the river a few weeks ago, and the weather couldn’t be more perfect. It was sunny and warm kinda like this duo. You can see just how much they adore each other. This location was bustling with life. We are still so careful to watch out for covid. But it was fun to see people on the river and enjoying the lovely fall weather. We had a blast during this session mainly because Chalie is such a little ball of energy and loves to dance.
I photographed the beautiful Becca and Miles expecting their first daughter a few weeks ago. It was the perfect cool summer weather for an outdoor session. Their dog Kip was such a sweetheart, in his old age he was able to explore and be a part of this session for his owners. This location was so insanely beautiful and I think it matched her beautiful gown perfectly. We had a converstation about what it’s meant to be pregnant during this crazy pandemic time. She shared with me that her family threw her facebook group showers and the amount of Ft during this time. Family is also driving in from out of town since theyre both from outside Chicago. Just a completely different experience it seems. Her positivity was just the best though. It’s very powerful to keep such an amazing perspective on life. I wish I could accurately capture her glow because it truly was the most radiant I have ever seen. I can’t wait to photograph her bautiful baby.
Much of our adventures go undocumented nowadays since Im so busy with work and life, I have to make it a point to come back to this. My big boy will be 9 already at the end of the month. How on earth is that possible. It feels like just yesterday I was bringing him home. If you’re a new parent and or a new parent to be know that all the parent cliches are one thousand percent true! Every single one of them. I know I have a special chance to document their childhood and I should take more advantage of that. I can’t wait to have more freesom and explore the city of Chicago with these two more if we can’t venture out further. Life is changing but, it is also coming together at the same time.

Catching up on my blogging, and this family has been a part of my photography journey since the beginning. They have grown into this beautiful little foursome. My husband and Ian, the dad have been friends since high school. That’s a long history and seeing each other’s kids grow up. Our daughters are even a few days away with birthdays. And actually I was at her first birthday pregnant and uncomfortable, then gave birth like a day or two later. How crazy is that.
For this session we got lucky with the perfect early morning calm skies and wind day. Actually I think we all worked up a sweat. It’s always an honor to capture their love.
Oh my heart!
It is such a joy to do this job. It’s crazy to think that I captured that sweet child’s newborn photos. Now she’s this rambunctious big kid who just made every image glow with her sweet soul. I was beyond thrilled when Angelina reached out to capture them in their new home for the holidays. I am now getting around to sharing these. Let me tell you a little about how much love I feel when I am in their presence. Nothing but happy kids and inviting personalities. I always leave their session so full of content.
I won’t lie, I am full on wandering what this beautiful estate looks like in the summer. I hope you love these lovely images.
An amazing company reached out for this shoot! So I headed out to these beautiful woods in River Forest IL. It’s such an amazing town. Pay’s family was just so stunning. This little baby was so chill and easy going, she really made my job so easy. Every time she had a moment, dad would put on baby shark and she was all smiles.
One of the most important aspects of my job is making sure I capture families in their truth. & Have their love be reflected 100%. So it was so much fun to capture their love. Also I was so grateful for the cooler sun shine day. In Illinois we really have to be mindful of ticks and other bugs.

What a whirlwind of a time I had leading up to this birth. My client had mentioned that she, with every delivery, always got prodromal labor. While I had the easiest job in this situation, I was not ready for the uncertainty. She was most definitely done being pregnant. Every day seemed to be the day for about three weeks. Having dealt with the birth of my kids, I had no experience with pains from labor that didn’t progress anything. Throughout everything, my client kept such a positive attitude. We both stressed whether this beautiful boy would make his arrival on his due date December 24. Thankfully he remained put until after, two days before the new year. I arrived at my client house, she was worried that she had called all of us too soon. I was getting ready for bed when I got the call. I was full of excitement. I was not expecting a quick 3-hour birth. She deserved that though, for him to come quickly after making her wait. Her strength and power were just amazing. I am so grateful that I was a part of this incredible moment.

What an honor it is to continue to see families grow older and older. Sometimes it’s so hard to see time reflected back at you, but when you have been a part of someone’s journey since birth. Well that’s just beyond incredible (find gemma’s birth here) you can see how fast time really does fly, and you wish for a second to stop it. When you’re a photographer you can. That’s why I do what I do. I feel passionate about my ability to stop time. To capture the magic of childhood even for a second. Families like these keep me going. They fill my cup with so much beauty.
Little miss Gemma, I wish you all the health in the world and a gazillion more beautiful birthdays with your parent’s and big brother Lincoln who is just the sweetest kid ever.

The beauty of this world can be found everywhere you go! for this beautiful session, we headed to this local coffee shop as well as a walkway. I just loved how spunky and full of smiles this duo was. Heather is a fellow local photographer, I absolutely fell in love between the bond of her and her kiddo.
