    Milwaukee Family Photography: A Downtown Waterfront Session

    Might as well call me a Milwaukee Family photographer. Milwaukee is such an incredible city. As a Chicago family photographer, people often ask if I am willing to travel for a session. Specifically, my answer is always a resounding yes! I recently had the pleasure of heading north for a Milwaukee Family Photography session at the beautiful downtown waterfront. This is the 3rd year working with this beautiful family. Fortunately, the weather was absolutely perfect, and the golden hour light over the lake was a dream come true for this lifestyle shoot.

    Exploring the Milwaukee Waterfront

    We began our session near the rocks, where the kids could climb and explore. Instead of stiff posing, I encouraged the family to interact naturally with the landscape. For example, the children loved jumping between the stones while their parents watched with pure joy. This area is such a gem for Milwaukee Family Photography because it offers both urban skylines and natural, rugged textures.

    Additionally, we moved to the grassy areas to let the kids run free. The city of Milwaukee provides such a diverse backdrop, from the modern architecture of the Art Museum to the calming blue of Lake Michigan. Consequently, we were able to capture a wide variety of moods and moments in a single hour.

    Furthermore, traveling to new locations keeps my creative spark alive.     A Heartfelt Milwaukee Family Photography Session

    This Milwaukee family photography session was a wonderful experience to document. Initially, when the Patel family reached out for a session near me but mentioned they lived in Milwaukee, I immediately jumped at the chance to travel. Consequently, I headed north to capture their story in a city I truly love. Milwaukee is such a vibrant town, and my own children adore the local parks there. Specifically, I knew one particular park would provide the perfect backdrop for a session with a busy toddler.

    Why Milwaukee is Perfect for Family Portraits

    Furthermore, I believe that the right location makes all the difference for a Milwaukee family photography session. This beautiful boy had the most impressive eyelashes and gorgeous brown eyes. Because I had previously photographed his first birthday, I was delighted to work with this family again. Fortunately, we were blessed with beautiful weather and a very happy kiddo, which ultimately resulted in stunning, sun-drenched images.

    One of the best locations for kids, I have so many personal moments in this park with my kids.
