    A Session Close to My Heart

    What a stunning Light-Filled Newborn Photography session this was. Every newborn session is special, but this one tugged at my heartstrings even more. As a Chicago newborn photographer, I usually spend my days photographing families right here in the Midwest. But this time, I had the joy of capturing my very own nephew during a family visit to Fresno, California. Being able to photograph the people I love most is a gift I’ll never take for granted.

    Morning Light, Giggles, and Disney Magic

    The morning of our session was dreamy full of golden light streaming into my brother and sister-in-law’s cozy home. My niece (a total Disney lover at heart) kept us all laughing with her songs, twirls, and endless chatter. Honestly, she brought her own kind of pixie dust to the day, making the whole atmosphere light and fun. I am obsessed with this light.

    The Beauty of At-Home Newborn Sessions

    What I adore about lifestyle newborn photography is how relaxed and natural it feels. No rushing, no pressure just a family enjoying their time together in the comfort of home. From tender newborn snuggles on the couch to those sweet, quiet moments by the window, every photograph captured the love and joy surrounding this little guy. How cute is my nephew. Consequently, it was a joy to return to this home after shooting their maternity session. Getting to see this family transition from three to four was such a privilege.

    A Spunky Big Sister and Baby C

    One of the highlights of this session was Baby C’s big sister. She was absolutely full of personality! First, she showed off her favorite corners of the house. Next, she helped me watch over her new brother. Her energy made the session so much fun.

    Capturing the bond between a toddler and a new sibling is rewarding. As an at home newborn photographer in Chicago, I see this often. Toddlers are much more comfortable in their own environment. Therefore, her playful personality truly shines through in the gallery.

    Baby C was a dream to photograph. We spent the morning capturing quiet, tender moments between him and his parents. As a baby lover, I love seeing how a family interacts in their home.

    We utilized the gorgeous natural light in the nursery and the living room. This created a bright and airy feel. Additionally, it perfectly matched the family’s modern style. The simplicity of a white onesie and a soft blanket allows the focus to remain on the baby.
