I’m so incredibly grateful for all the opportunities this life has given me. Working in the industry of Chicago family commercial photography, it is easy for the “comparison bug” to creep in. I have to constantly remind myself that my unique creative voice is what truly sets me apart.
Last year, I was awarded the opportunity to work on several campaigns for. I learned so much from those experiences. It was a masterclass in blending brand identity with authentic, lifestyle imagery.

How I Approach Chicago Family Commercial Photography
Self-sabotage and the feeling that I wasn’t “good enough” often creep in. Honestly, that feeling happens before most of my sessions. But you know what? The voice that tells me “I can do this” is louder. It is the driving force behind owning my ability and power.
I know that I will probably fail more than I win at this point in my career. But I have learned that the losses often teach me more than the wins. I have no idea what any of that has to do with the images of this adorable baby and these cute products, but I want anyone reading this to know: no matter what hardship you are facing, you can do this. Fail with grace, knowing you will recover. The way up is hard, but it is so rewarding.

When approaching a commercial project, my goal is to capture more than just the product. In the world of Chicago family commercial photography, it’s about storytelling. Whether it is a studio session or an on-location shoot in the city, I strive to make the product feel integrated into the family’s life.
Collaborating with a brand like DockATot allowed me to refine my eye for detail. I focus on lighting, texture, and the genuine, unscripted moments that happen between a parent and child. It’s that intersection of professional lighting and candid emotion that makes the final images stand out.
