Lake Forest is one of the most beautiful places in all of Chicagoland — and it’s one of my favorite places to photograph families. As a Lake Forest family photographer, I’m drawn to the trees, the lakefront light, the quiet elegance of it all. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to slow down and actually take it in. And that’s exactly the energy I bring to every session.
I’m Adri, a documentary-style family photographer based in Forest Park, IL. I’ve been photographing families across the Chicago area since 2015, and the North Shore holds a really special place in my heart. There’s something about that lakefront light in golden hour that I will never get tired of. Never.
What a Lake Forest Family Session Feels Like
It feels like a really good afternoon with your favorite people. We pick a spot that fits your family — maybe somewhere near the lake, maybe a favorite neighborhood haunt, maybe somewhere with big open fields and good light. And then we just let the session unfold.
While I don’t choose to do directing poses or counting down from three. I’m however watching. I love waiting. I’m ready for the moment your little one reaches up for your hand or your partner whispers something that makes you laugh. Those are the moments that matter, and those are the moments I live for.
