A FEW MICHIGAN CAMPING MOMENTS IN MONOCHROME, CHICAGO FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER

I’ll forever be the mom who photographs my children sleeping

I have absolutely no shame about it

It’s quite literally the calm before the chaos

I’m catching up on sharing some personal images of mine. We’re back in school and my summer routine is completely disrupted. I’m slowly getting back into a new one. We are doing ok, back to normal or as close to normal as it will be for now. These images are from early summer, my kid’s dad invited me to come and I was able to make it out for the last day of their camping. I love this place so much. It’s everything childhood dreams are made off. It honestly makes me swell with tears watching my kids enjoy this place. It’s healing to see their joy. To know they are safe and they are doing ok. To know how loved they are. So much has changed for them in the last few years. But they’ve had both myself and their dad to navigate through it all. Im glad we get to still learn and live and enjoy this beautiful life together.

Nothing will ever be as it was and that’s ok. Happier times are ahead. New lives and with purpose. If my kids can take something away from who I am now, it would be my intention. I am now full of intention. No longer drifting by. No longer going along with the crowd. Intentionality puts me on the path I need to be on.

I hope you’re living with intention. If you’re not that’s ok. I hope you get there someday.
